3rd Club Induction Ceremony for Officers and New Members

A Night of Leadership, Service, and Celebration - Subic Metro Executive Lions Club Holds 3rd Induction Ceremony

                    The Subic Metro Executive Lions Club (SMELC) once again proved that leadership and service go hand in hand as it successfully held its 3rd Club Induction Ceremony for Officers and New Members on September 14, 2025, at the ARA J Events Hall.

The evening opened with a grand processional, setting a tone of elegance and pride as SMELC members graced the hall in Modern Filipiniana and Barong Tagalog, proudly reflecting Filipino culture and heritage.

Following the national and Lions hymns, 1st Vice President Lion Aida B. Lina delivered warm opening remarks, officially welcoming everyone to an evening dedicated to unity, service, and leadership. Honoring Leadership and Welcoming New Members

A highlight of the event was the Valedictory Address of Immediate Past President and Charter President Lion Eva Esoterica R. Deveraturda, MJF, who reflected on the club’s journey and accomplishments.

 

The induction ceremonies followed, each led by distinguished Lions dignitaries: Induction of New Members – IPDG Marco M. Soriano, PMJF, Induction of Club Officers – District Governor Jaime R. Castillo, PMJF, Induction of Administrative Committee – 1st Vice District Governor Rita L. Francisco, MJF, Induction of Activities Committee – 2nd Vice District Governor Esther P. Arimbuyutan, 2PMJF. In her Inaugural Speech, newly installed Club President Lion Maria Rigena T. Teves, 3PMJF, inspired fellow members to continue embodying the Lions’ spirit of service, emphasizing the theme, “Lead to Serve, Serve to Lead.” District Governor Jaime R. Castillo, PMJF, also delivered an inspiring message, lauding SMELC’s efforts in upholding the Lions’ mission and fostering camaraderie among its members.

A Celebration of Service

The program’s festive atmosphere was enriched by a special dance performance from the SMELC Dancers and an audiovisual presentation aptly titled “Lead to Serve, Serve to Lead.” Club President Lion Maria Rigena T. Teves, assisted by Club Secretary Lion Rain F. Cabreros and Lion Gloria U. Gillies, MJF, led the presentation of plaques of appreciation to recognize outstanding contributions and partnerships that continue to strengthen the club’s service endeavors. The evening concluded with heartfelt closing remarks from 2nd Vice President Lion Walter M. Akut, capping a memorable night of fellowship and commitment to the Lions’ timeless motto — “We Serve.” The ceremony was ably hosted by Lions Jeffrey B. Valdez and Marlyn Glodoviza-Valdez, and attended by district dignitaries, fellow club presidents, members, and guests who all shared in celebrating SMELC’s continuous growth and unwavering dedication to community service.
